In a new interview with People magazine, the triple threat explained that her changing body shape is beautiful and she's found a new peace with how she looks that's giving her endless confidence:

"I love being pregnant. I have such an incredible connection with myself and with my body that I've never had before. I can't wait to have more kids."

"People always say that pregnant women have a glow," she continued. "And I say it's because you're sweating to death. I think they just tell pregnant women they're glowing to make them feel good about themselves, because everything makes them a little bit emotional." 

The 31-year-old star added that aside from the obvious physical changes, pregnancy has so far been a spiritual experience too:

"Just knowing that you're creating a life is such a spiritual thing. Everything is growing, but you're making a life. It's pretty cool."

The singer, actress and designer told Access Hollywood that she had been feeling "a little off" so decided to take a pregnancy test before touching alcohol just in case she was expecting:

"I was just kinda feeling a little off before we went away for a weekend... and I wanted to make sure I was in the clear to have a couple of glasses of champagne and I was not in the clear!"

Simpson, who publicly announced the exciting news on Halloween (October 31) by dressing as a spooky mummy, added that both she and her fiance Eric Johnson cried upon discovering they were going to be parents:

"I came in, like, shaking, like, 'Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, this is happening!' We both cried... We just sat there and stared at each other and were like, 'OK, we're doing this!' Pregnancy is a friend of mine, so everything has been running smoothly. So far so good, no morning sickness. I feel great. I'm tired but I'm making a baby."

The singer, actress and fashion designer posted an official announcement on her wesbite last night, October 31, that simply read: "it's true! I am going to be a mummy".

She also tweeted a photograph of herself dressed in a very Halloween-appropriate costume - a 'mummy' - to showcase her blooming baby bump. This will be her first child with fiancé Eric Johnson, a former NFL football player.

The soon-to-be married superstar began her lucrative career as a singer, but has since expanded her empire to include several television shows, a range of cosmetics, a fine jewellery line, a fashion collection and a fragrance line.

However, writing on her official Twitter page on September 9, Simpson asked fans what genre of music they would interested in hearing from her if she were to return as a vocalist:

"What kind of music would y'all want from me on my next album? Thinking about going back to the studio"

The singer, actress and designer - more commonly known as a triple threat - will launch a "fine jewellery collection with an emphasis on diamonds" in October as Firestar Diamond's first celebrity license. 

Speaking to Women's Wear Daily, Simpson explained that "jewelry is such personal expression of style and taste. This collection has allowed me to create pieces that truly reflect who I am, and that can become a keepsake for lifetime."

“The collection is beautifully crafted. The designs are airy and artistic and so easy to wear," she added.

The singer, actress and designer is no stranger to the cosmetic industry as she has released perfumes before, but her latest one defines her Fancy Collection and she told People magazine:

"I am so excited to introduce my fourth and final fragrance of the Fancy Collection, I Fancy You."

"This floral scent is romantic and feminine and conjures up the feelings of a first love that makes you realise that love can last forever. I Fancy You!"

Speaking exclusively to fashion website wwd.com, the 'With You' singer explained it will be part of her own collection and will include activewear that has a "girly, playful attitude":

"Creating a tween apparel collection was a natural extension for the brand. I'm excited to bring my sister, Ashlee, along as co-creative director of this division, because she brings a savvy rocker edge that defines today's tweens."

The 'With You' singer turned actress explained that she won't be employing the services of a personal trainer for her dream bride body, but is going against Hollywood's norm and doing it alone:

"I just have to work out on my own. There is no regimen I need to follow. There's no diet I need to follow. I just need to do some things for myself and that's it. And that will make me feel the happiest."

She has an idea of what she might wear at her forthcoming wedding, but at the moment is more certain of how to stay in shape, and added:

"No exercise is fun! I am going to dance around my bedroom and hopefully lose some weight — and lift some weights and do what I can!"

Although the couple haven't clarified a date for the impending nuptials, the singer-turned-actress explained that she's after a style that will showcase her famous chest:

"I like my collar bone. I have a long neck, so I like to show off my decolletage."

"I haven't really thought about the colour. But I do like the romantic feel of a lighter color."

When asked about her bridal party, she admitted to wanting something very different to what she had at her first wedding, which was to singer Nick Lachey, and said:

"I definitely would want all my bridesmaids to be in everything different. Just to reflect what their personalities are."
