The US rapper, who earlier this year claimed he wanted to play the Girls Aloud star’s husband on Coronation Street, told the Daily Star that he’s already talked to her manager will.i.am about a possible collaboration:

“I will work with Cheryl, that is for sure. It’s going to happen. Hip-hop sells in America and that is the direction her manager will.i.am wants to take her.

“I have already talked with him about collaborating with her on her next album and I am down with it.”

The 41-year-old, who recently changed his name to Snoop Lion to fit his new reggae reinvention, also stated that another big superstar may soon be working with the former X-Factor judge:

“He’s got some big names planned for her and is talking with Eminem as well. It’s going to get real big for Cheryl.”

The singer unleashed the record in 2011 after making her name as a contestant on the X Factor a year earlier.

She has gone on to achieve significant success in the US and she is set to release a new version of 'Sticks + Stones' in the UK in November.

It will feature a new song called 'Behind the Music', as well as US single 'Oath'.

Other fresh material that will be included on the 21-track album include a cover of Shakespears Sister's classic 'Stay' and the Snoop Dogg version of 'Want U Back'.

Lloyd meanwhile is set to release a standard edition of 'Sticks + Stones' to her growing audience in the US on October 2.

The New York Times reports that the rapper held a press conference in New York to announce his plans to release a single from his upcoming album 'Reincarnated'.

He told reporters that he had something of an epiphany whilst recording the album in Jamaica and that he has reached a point of change in his career, diverting from rap to a more reggae sound. He said:

"I have always said I was Bob Marley reincarnated. I feel I have always been a Rastafari. I just didn't have my third eye open, but it's wide open right now."

He added: "There comes a point where you say I done it all, or there isn't much more to do. This was like a rebirth for me. Rap is not a challenge to me. I had enough of that. It's not appealing to me no more. I don't have no challenges. I'm 'Uncle Snoop' in rap. When you get to be an uncle, you need to find a new profession so you can start over and be fresh again. I want to be a kid again."

Cheryl had previously spoken of her desire to act on the popular programme, and speaking to the Daily Star, Snoop Dogg said he would love to join in on the action too. He said:

"I couldn't believe it when I heard Cheryl wanted to go on Corrie. People always think I'm playing when I talk about Coronation Street, but I swear it's my favourite show on TV. They got everything – sex, murder, transsexuals. There ain't no other show that can touch it."

He continued: "If the producers write a cool storyline for me and Cheryl I guarantee I will clear my schedule and come do a two-week shoot. The writers are sick on Corrie."

Snoop Dogg however already has a storyline in mind, with the rapper acting as Cheryl's wife, before losing her to Ken Barlow. He said:

"I want to see me and Cheryl arrive on the Street as a couple from overseas. Within the first week I would expect Ken Barlow to have seduced Cheryl because you know that dog don't let his age stop his skills with the women. Then a broken-hearted Snoop falls into the arms of a broken-hearted Deirdre."

Heads were turned all around the world earlier this year when a hologram of Tupac appeared on stage at the Coachella Festival alongside Snoop Dogg.

Digital Domain Media Group helped create the hologram, and speaking to MTV, they said they are looking into making an Elvis hologram.

Ed Ulbrich, Chief Creative Officer at Digital Domain, said that Elvis could be seen live in concert once again in the future. She said:

"Elvis Presley is the king of rock and roll...you have to start with the king. We're in the creative development stages now. Instead of a single application we're looking to bring Elvis back across a host of platforms, including live concerts in venues."
