Goldfrapp release their stunningly beautiful new album ‘Tales Of Us’ through Mute on 9 September 2013. Their sixth album, ‘Tales Of Us’ is written and produced by band members Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory and was recorded at their studio in the English countryside.

A sumptuous body of work, ‘Tales Of Us’ has been two years in the crafting and is their most narrative, cinematic and intimate recording so far. Nothing in their accomplished back catalogue has hinted at the new lyrical breadth that the band have introduced to ‘Tales Of Us’. All the songs bar one are named in the first person with a cast list of evocative character sketches, the contrary love affairs, the suspense, hallucinations, fairy tales and modern folklores documented and the traces of redemption they find in song take the poetry of Goldfrapp’s delicately considered music somewhere brand new.

With its uniquely cinematic narrative, filmmaker Lisa Gunning is creating a compelling and beautiful film to accompany the album, which will be shown in cinemas later this year.

Goldfrapp kick-start a summer of very special live performances with two shows at the Manchester International Festival on 17 & 18 July when they will be performing ‘Tales Of Us’ live for the very first time, accompanied by the Royal Northern College of Music string orchestra. The band will then be performing at Somerset House on 20 July before going on to headline the Lovebox main stage on Sunday 21 July.

The summer shows are a precursor to a European headline tour in October and November with the following performances:

Fresh off the release of their fifth album ‘Bankrupt!’, Phoenix bring forth new single ‘Trying To Be Cool’, to be released July 8 through Atlantic Records. ‘Trying To Be Cool’ is the second single taken from the new album, which has been warmly received by fans and critics alike.

The last few months have served to prove that Phoenix are as vital as ever, with a headline slot at Coachella, a sold out show at Shepherds Bush Empire and a recent performance on ‘Later with Jools Holland’. Waveform Electronic Music Festival will be in its 7th successful year in 2013, and to celebrate this magical number we have some new and unique experiences for you.  We are moving to a new site, a stunning location in Somerset, which will enable us to run all the main music stages later and louder!  Exact location details will be coming soon but first let’s highlight what we will be bringing back.....
 
The Vibe... everyone who attends says the same thing, there really is nothing like the vibe felt at Waveform...it is just out of this world, and we want more!
 
The Music ... 2013 will see the return of all 5 Stages from 2012... Cats Cradle Solar Stage, The Psychedelic Stage, The Electronica Stage, Chooneys House Stage/Eartheart Stage & Gaia Chill Space. We are also bringing back the Waveform Outdoor Stage.  The full eclectic music line up of Live Electronica, Psy Trance, Breaks, D&B, Techno, Progressive, Classy House, Downtempo and Ambient is coming soon.    
 
Consciousness...For those of you who want more than the music, we are pleased to welcome back the highly successful Worldshift Space after such an incredible debut last year. There will be even more thought provoking talks, workshops and performances, including a second installment to the Merkaba Activation talk from 2012.
 
Greener Ethos....we will of course be bringing back the beautiful Green Village with all its loveliness, beautiful vibe and educational aspect.  This year there will be an expansion of the village to include a solar cinema and a host of cutting edge site art and installations.
 
 Art Gallery....we welcome back the Psy Art gallery, and expect some pleasant surprises!
 
Healing Temple...we had so much positive feedback from the newly expanded healing space that we want to give you even more this year.

Tom Odell will play a second night at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire this Autumn. He will play the legendary venue on the 22nd and 23rd of October. News of this second headline date comes just days after Tom was announced as one of the special guests supporting The Rolling Stones at Hyde Park this summer. Tom plays the second of the two huge shows on July 13th.

Odell will be returning to his hometown of Chichester this Thursday (April 25th) to play an intimate show for his fans. Performing at his local venue La Havana, Tom will be playing tracks from his forthcoming debut album “Long Way Down” which will be released on June 24th.

Odell will also be making his debut US TV appearance next month with a performance on The Late Show with David Letterman.

Tom’s debut single “Hold Me” is out now.

Home to London’s most spectacular live music setting, Summer Series at Somerset House with American Express® returns with a stellar line-up of concerts from 11 – 21 July 2013.

One of the must-see events of the summer season, the unique urban festival showcases a wide and eclectic range of music acts, from rising stars to headline artists.

The neo-classical courtyard will first play host to Brit Award nominee Alex Clare, whose distinctive strain of dubstep-inflected balladry is perfectly demonstrated on “Too Close”, his breakthrough hit which reached the top 10 on both sides of the Atlantic. From then on, the festival moves from the emotive rock of the acclaimed

Band of Horses, to the electronic soul of the breakthrough British star of 2012 Jessie Ware to the hugely popular, off-the-wall dance stylings of Basement Jaxx, who will be debuting new material live for the first time in front of an English audience.

The first male winner of the Brits Critics’ Choice Award Tom Odell will be playing, as well as the five piece Icelandic folk band Of Monsters and Men, who recently conquered the charts with their single “Little Talks”, and Sheffield singer-songwriter Richard Hawley whose baritone, bittersweet songs continue to compel.

Back with a brand new album, Goldfrapp will ooze glamour and sensuality with their Mercury Prize and Grammy-nominated electronic pop whilst phenomenal homegrown talent Lianne La Havas, who made huge waves last year with her debut LP “How Big Is Your Love?”, will bring her warm and spellbinding blend of soul, folk and pop to the stage. In addition, Swedish folk sister act First Aid Kit, who

, will be making an appearance, and the eclectic band Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros will add to the mix with their raucous bohemian party.

Richard Hawley said: "Playing Somerset House is the venue along with Greenwich Observatory I've always hoped I might get a chance of playing as they are both connected deeply with our country’s history. I'm a bit of a history lover truth be told so I'm really looking forward to it, you never know they might let me have a look around the place then I can visit the shop and bring me mum a tea towel home like a proper tourist. Oh and we get to play some rock n roll ... result".
