Snoop Lion claims marijuana can create world peace

Snoop Lion has revealed that he thinks marijuana is capable of creating world peace.

The legendary rapper, who turned Rastafarian for his latest album, ‘Reincarnated,’ told the Daily Star that he believes the drug has the power to change people’s lives for the better:

“Marijuana is my girlfriend and I love her to death. To me it’s a herb that’s from the earth, for real. It’s put here for us to enjoy and I feel like the more people that indulge, the more peaceful it is.

“Marijuana tends to put everyone at ease. It connects people from a lot of different walks of life. It’s a positive movement of peace and unity so if you have one right now, blaze up.”

The 41-year-old also then went onto credit his 13-year-old daughter, Cori Broadus, for his new anti-gun stance:

“There has been so much gun violence in America, and all over the world, too, and we just want to see it end. So it’s awesome to have my daughter on my new record. The song is called No Guns Allowed. My daughter is changing me, my music and my way of life because she’s a lady.

“When you have a young lady to raise you want to be in the right way, so I thank her as she’s making me a better man. She believes in what I believe in and I support her.”

"The way she held the tone, caressed a lyric. (When I write), I imagine how she'd sing a lyric."

One Direction support act Camryn: "Harry Styles has impromptu dance parties on tour"

Camryn is the envy of millions of girls worldwide at the moment. The 13-year-old US star is currently supporting One Direction on their European Take Me Home tour, mixing it up with the lads backstage and enjoying a strong crowd response. Pressparty caught up with her to find out more...

You're out supporting One Direction on tour - what has it been like so far?

Amazing! Even though we're already a couple of months into the tour, I still can't believe I'm here. The fans have been so incredible and I've gotten to see so many places I've never been before. I feel so lucky.

Any fun 1D related backstage stories from the tour?

Harry [Styles] loves to have impromptu dance parties backstage...those have made for some of my favourite moments with the boys!

Do you feel like you're in a privileged position with regards to supporting One Direction? Countless acts would love to warm up for them...

I feel so privileged to be on the 1D tour! I've worked really hard to get where I am, but I know a million people would kill to be in my shoes so I'm not taking a single moment for granted.

Do you prefer touring over working in the studio?

Definitely! I really like working in the studio, it's a great place to be creative and experiment with my music - but there's no better feeling in the world than stepping on stage and playing my songs for a crowd.

For those who haven't heard of Camryn, how would you describe your sound?

I like so many styles of music, so I tried to incorporate them all into my songs to make it my own, original sound. For instance, when you hear my single 'Now or Never', it sounds like it's going to be a straight rock song, but once the chorus hits, you'll hear a lot of pop and dance influences.

What does the rest of 2013 hold for you?

Well, I'll be on this tour through to the end of May so I'm just soaking this experience in until then. But I'm really looking forward to working on a full-length album when I get back home.

Who would you love to collaborate with in the future?

I'm such a huge fan of Rihanna! She seems like such a hard worker and all of her songs are so on point. I'd love to see how she works in the studio.

You're only 13 - how are you coping with fame at such a young age?

I'm just taking every day as it comes. My schedule has been so crazy that it's hard to even know where I am sometimes. But I have an amazing support system with my family and friends - they keep me on track.

How long do you see your career lasting?

I love what I do so much, I can't imagine doing anything else. As long as I have something to write and sing about, I'm here to stay.

"Stay strong bro."

The Wanted star meanwhile offered his thoughts on the news that JLS will split at the end of the year, tweeting: "Sad to hear about @JLSOfficial.

Former X Factor finalist Diana Vickers has been confirmed as the support act to some of Olly Murs' upcoming summer concerts.

The 'Once' songstress will open for the cheeky hitmaker on June 2 at the The Embankment in Peterborough and then again on July 7 at Powderham Castle in Exeter.

She uploaded a video blog last night (April 15) about the exciting news and told her fans: "I just wanted to tell you all about the summer, I'll be doing some gigs with this lovely chap here. I did some last summer and it was so much fun. I love working with Olly, he's great."

Meanwhile, Vickers has been working on brand new music and is expected to release a new album this coming autumn. Her new single, entitled 'Cinderalla', is set to drop in the UK on July 21 and speaking about the track recently she explained:

"'Cinderella' is about being in love and not caring about any of the material things in life, just wanting to be with that one person you adore. "It's about being prepared to lose anything and take every chance to be with them. It's a play on the classic Cinderella story, but in this version she's fallen for her prince so much she would lose both her shoes on purpose if it meant she could win him."

The 19-year-old singer has been the subject of a number of negative headlines recently, with his UK tour fraught with bad press.

The lads in Britain's Got Talent group The Mend have revealed that supporting Little Mix on tour has been a lot of fun, but they were surprised at which member was the naughtiest.

Speaking to Yahoo! OMG, the boys explained that 'the quiet ones' are usually the worst and songstress Jade Thirlwall was the embodiment of that statement:

"They were really nice girls. We got along. Jade's the cute, innocent one. But the quiet ones are always the worst. She's the instigator. We did a prank on Little Mix on Jesy and Jade was instigating it like 'do it do it'. She was proper getting [us] in the mood."

The Mend admitted that the prank was putting "disappearing ink on her favourite leggings".

According to the group, Little Mix were the ones who started the pranks war: "They got us first. They trashed our dressing room, lipstick on the walls - wrote our lyrics and changed them to some very rude words."

"Tulisa definitely has the attitude to break America. I haven't heard too much [of her music]. The stuff I have heard has been good - you know, there is always room for improvement."

He added: "As far as her music goes, she would have to do some stuff that catered to the States."

Tulisa meanwhile has recently been over in the States attempting to further her acting career in the US.

The Saturdays in talks to support Justin Bieber on US tour

The Saturdays have confirmed that discussions are ongoing about the prospect of the Brits supporting Justin Bieber in the US.

Speculation arose recently that the 'What About Us' stars, who starred in US reality show Chasing The Saturdays earlier this year, were being lined up for a support slot on Bieber's 'Believe' tour.

Speaking to Capital FM, Mollie King confirmed that talks are underway for the group to warm up on a number of the tour's dates. She said:

"There are talks about it, definitely. We're going to see how our schedules tie up really – we'll see."

Rochelle Humes added: "He's on tour right now and obviously we're really busy at the minute and in the next couple of weeks so hopefully if we can get out there and do some dates for him that would be good."

Camryn: "One Direction told me to have fun supporting them"

US pop star Camryn has revealed that One Direction told her to just "have fun" whilst supporting them on tour.

The singer was selected to warm up for the 'Kiss You' singers on their European Take Me Home tour, which began in earnest on February 23.

Speaking to Bang Showbiz, Camryn said that the global icons' advice to her ahead of the shows was to just have fun on stage. She said:

"One Direction just said to have fun! And y'know by watching their show...I mean, they're One Direction so it's not like they have to do much to make the crowd just go crazy."

Camryn continued: "Just watching things like how they mess with each other and they are just so funny and have so much fun, that's something I definitely take note of, because if you're not having fun then what's the point?"

The singer was picked to support One Direction this year after sharing the stage with them in the US in 2012.
