The British singer has spoken about the 'Kiss You' group in the past and he mentioned how he sees part of his former self in the young group.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Williams said that he likes to keep tabs on the progress of the boyband after performing with them on the X Factor in 2010.

The 'Take The Crown' man added that he is also envious of Harry Styles' alleged romantic deviances. When asked if he still thinks of them like 'showbiz brothers', Williams replied:

"They are. I sang 'She’s The One' with them on The X Factor, so I've seen various stages of their growth. And I've been a member of One Direction, as it were. So I like seeing how they’re doing. Following Harry and his many romances and being slightly envious. Checking out their new tattoos and me showing them my new tattoos. I’m in the One Direction bad tattoo club. I have bad tattoos – so do they."

The singer has a number of pieces of body art inked on her skin but it seems her parents aren't fans of the practice.

She told heat magazine that one tattoo in particular - birds on her arms - made for a big argument between Demi and her mother. The singer said:

"My mum and I got into a huge fight when I got the birds on my arms, just because she has a different perception of tattoos than my generation does. And so it's hard to explain to her that it's like art for your skin and you don't have to draw it on every day."

The 'Heart Attack' star continued: "It's something that's meaningful. My mum and dad get so mad! When it's littler ones, my mum doesn't mind so much, but we got into a huge fight over this [pointing the butterflies on her forearm]."

Lovato meanwhile is due to perform at New York's Central Park on June 28 as part of Good Morning America's summer concert series.

The lads have been enjoying some time off in Barcelona, Spain as they continue their trek around Europe on their Take Me Home tour.

Styles was pictured topless and taking in the sun as he put performing to the back of his mind.

In a post on Twitter on Sunday (May 12), Horan denied speculation that he had gone under the needle - and suggested that he won't be doing so any time soon. The singer said:

"By the way I didn't get a tattoo! Not plannin either."

As previously reported, Horan was previously quoted as saying that he thought about getting 'Made in Ireland' inked onto his bottom - but it was too "squidgy" to get tattooed.

"This is why I got so many tattoos. So when he is seen naked again, people know it's definitely not me."

The 'Lego House' man continued: "I bumped into Harry and took a picture on my phone with him and he said: 'This better not end up in any papers mate'."

The singing star revealed on Twitter a fresh illustration on her upper back and shoulder area, with the body art resembling a line of musical notation and butterflies.

It follows on from Cheryl Cole's recent back tattoo, which hit the headlines due to its massive size and detail.

Pinnock is, of course, just one of many young pop stars who have decided to get tattoos.

One Direction have seemingly caught the ink bug too, with stars such as Harry Styles and Zayn Malik getting the needle treatment numerous times.

Justin Bieber meanwhile also has a notable penchant for tattoos, with one of his more recent pieces a large owl on his arm.

Speaking to MTV News about their bond, he explained that he took Styles along to watch him get his Pingu ink done and convinced him to get a similar design as a "bro tat":

"I got that [tattoo] with Harry Styles, he got Pingu [written under his arm]. Kinda like a bro tat. I mentioned it; he was like, 'Alright then.'"

Sheeran added that he also has a tattoo connection with the Rizzle Kicks lads as they all have pieces themed around the popular, 'Fresh Prince Of Bel Air' TV show:

"I played in Philadelphia and I was on tour with my friends, Rizzle Kicks, who were my opening act. I got 'Prince,' Jordan got 'Fresh' on his leg, and Harley got on his arm, 'on the playground where I spent most of my days.'"

The boyband have frequently indulged in body art over the last year, with Harry Styles and Zayn Malik in particular developing a taste for ink.

Speaking on ITV's Daybreak today (January 31), Liam Payne said that his mum voiced her disapproval when hearing about her son getting tattoos. He said:

"My mum went crazy about the whole tattoo idea."

Zayn Malik added: "Simon [Cowell] hasn't said anything but our mums have been like, 'Maybe you're getting a bit too much'."

Talking about rumours that the band could be set to relocate to the US, Liam Payne said:

"No, I think someone just sits down and says, 'What can I write about today?"

As previously reported, Courtney Webb recently claimed that she bedded the One Direction star at his house - and even had phone photos of the star apparently sleeping to prove it.

Naturally, the report prompted speculation over the future of Malik and girlfriend Perrie Edwards, who sings in Little Mix.

It all seems to have riled over-protective One Direction fans on Twitter, with some sending death threats to the waitress. One user said:

"Courtney Webb....if the end of Zerrie ..is cause of you. WE WILL FIND YOU AND WE WILL KILL YOU. NUFF SAID."

Another account posted a message saying: "dear Courtney Webb, we'll kill you - directioners."

The photos taken by Courtney Webb which allegedly show Malik sleeping in bed can be seen below.

She accused the heartthrob of cheating on his girlfriend, Little Mix's Perrie Edwards, on Wednesday and told Britain's The Sun newspaper that she met him on a night out in London, which led to her going back to his house.

Speaking about their late-night encounter, Webb said Malik had told her he was single and she was disgusted when she found out the truth:

"He's an absolute s**t. How dare he - not only to me but to Perrie?" She added: "As soon as we finished having sex he wanted me out of the house and out of the way. His behaviour was disgusting. He was like, 'Get your clothes on, I’ll get you a taxi' (and) he started pulling the cab firm app up on his phone. He treated me like an object.”

Now, the Daily Mail has obtained photos (shown below) taken by Webb that show Malik asleep next to her, in which his tattoos are clearly visible adding weight to her claims.

Fans of the band on Twitter have been having fun with turning Tomlinson rock - a look that is a world away from his clean cut boyband image.

He can be seen with ear piercings, arms full of tattoos and dark make-up as his fans exhibit their Photoshop skills.

And it seems Tomlinson is something of a fan of the new look, with the singer tweeting today (December 17):

"Just seen all these punk edits of pictures of me, makes me want more tattoos!!"

As previously reported, One Direction have been confirmed to perform at this year's X Factor USA final, which is due to come to an end on Thursday (December 20).
