Katie Waissel pens emotional song about marriage breakdown: 'I felt tricked, conned and stupid'

Former 'X Factor' finalist Katie Waissel has opened up about the breakdown of her marriage to male model Brad Alphonso, which ended in divorce after just 2 months, and revealed that the only way to cope with it was to write a song about it.

The 27-year-old beauty penned a track entitled 'I'm Fine' and has now released it onto the Internet for her fans to check out and told the Mail Online that it was a cathartic experience: "I wrote this song because I quite simply didn't know how to express myself in any other way. It was the easiest way to get my emotions out at what has become an absolutely heartbreaking time."

"What is amazing is that this has been a total release for me emotionally. This is how a song should be written. I quite simply went to see my manager Mark and my old engineer James at the Sanctum and ended up at a piano with a microphone where it all came out."

Waissel also gave an exclusive interview to Now magazine, in which she confessed that losing the man she loved almost broke her: "It began to sink in that we were now responsible for each other. The financial situation between us caused a lot of stress too. It was hard for him that I had more money, but paying for things didn't bother me."

"I was humiliated. I'd completely lost the man I loved. I feel tricked, conned and stupid. That's why I've been hiding away - I don't want to face it at the moment.

Tulisa has announced that she won't be returning to the UK X Factor this year.

The singer joined the show in 2011 as part of a shake-up of the panel, but she confirmed today (May 21) that her time as a judge has come to an end.

The news comes as little surprise, with the 'Young' star's position on the show the subject of great speculation for a number of months.

Whilst revealing her exit, Tulisa added that there are some exciting things planned in her career. The singer said:

"Just wanted to let you all know that I won't be part of the X Factor panel this year. I've had a great time on the show, but this year it's time to do something different. I'd like to thank everyone on The X Factor for two amazing years. Stay tuned as I have a very exciting announcement soon!"

As previously reported, long-time judge Louis Walsh recently revealed that he and Gary Barlow will continue to judge the show this year.

Producer Rodney Jerkins says new Rihanna album is in the works

Rihanna is starting the process of making a new album, according to producer Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins.

The singer only released her last album 'Unapologetic' in November last year and it seems her recording cycle could be set to kick off again.

Speaking to The Source, Jerkins - who has worked with the likes of Lady Gaga in the past - revealed that he has submitted some songs to the next Rihanna record. Discussing his recent work, he said:

"I was working with Britney actually at the end of the year. She had me come on The X Factor show and do something with her, so we'll see what happens if we get a chance to work together."

The hit producer continued: "I am working with Mariah, I am working with Jennifer Lopez. I just finished a couple songs with Jessie J over in London and I also wrote a couple of songs that are being considered for Rihanna's new album, so there's a lot of good stuff happening so we'll see."

Rihanna's startling work rate meanwhile has seen the singer release seven albums in seven years, starting from 2005's 'Music of the Sun'.

Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio added to X Factor USA

Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio have filled the two vacant seats on the X Factor USA panel.

The show was two judges down for a number of months after LA Reid and Britney Spears left following the 2012 series.

Former X Factor UK judge Rowland and The Voice Mexico star Paulina Rubio have now been confirmed to replace the outgoing judges and sit alongside the returning Demi Lovato. Simon Cowell said about the new appointments:

"It's taken more than a decade, but I'm delighted to finally be on a panel with three girls (I think!). Paulina and Kelly both have great taste and massive experience in the music industry and together with Demi, this is going to be a fun panel. It just feels like the time to do something different."

Rowland meanwhile said: "I am very excited to be reuniting with Simon Cowell and The X Factor family. It feels great to be able to take this journey here at home in the States."

Rubio added: "I love The X Factor! I can't wait to find the next big music star here in America. I'm so thrilled to be part of the show as a judge."

The first auditions for the X Factor USA will take place today (May 21) in Charleston, SC.

Bonnie Tyler says "less is more" when it comes to "talented" singles like Adele and Emeli Sandé.

The 61-year-old songstress is representing the UK in tonight's (May 18) Eurovision Song Contest.

Tyler has weighed in on the new breed of female singers storming the charts today, and doesn't think people like Beyoncé or Lady Gaga show off too much skin.

Speaking to British magazine Star, she revealed: "No, not really. But I think when you are really talented like Adele and Emeli Sandé, less is more."

Tyler also gave her opinion on TV talent shows including The Voice and The X Factor.

She explained: "Some good singers such as Leona Lewis, One Direction and Will Young have come out of those shows. Yet I don't think the judges on The Voice always turn around for the right people..."

When asked if she could ever be a judge on one of these TV talent shows, she exclaimed: "Absolutely no chance! I don't like ridiculing people. If somebody's performance was bloody diabolical I would feel sorry that their parents let them go on the programme - you think they would know better!

"But there are a lot of talented people out there."

Former ‘X Factor’ contestant Amelia Lily has delayed the release of her debut album ‘Be A Fighter’.

The record was originally slated for release on April 28th, but now fans will have to wait until May 20th to get a hold of the album, containing her latest single ‘Party Over’.

Lily came third in the 2011 edition of the talent show programme and recently commented that she believes the show would benefit from bringing previous judges Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole back on board.

The singer also recently supported a reunited Girls Aloud on their farewell tour, previewing material from her upcoming debut. Also featured on the album will be Lily’s hits ‘Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got)’ and ‘You Bring Me Joy’, which landed at No. 2 when it debuted last year.

Music mogul Simon Cowell has revealed that he loves the UK version of 'The X Factor' so will definitely 'return to it at some point'.

During an interview with the Radio Times, Cowell explained that he will always be a part of it even if he isn't personally on the panel but hopes to return as a judge in the future:

"There’s something about this show which is closest to my heart, so at some point I will definitely come back on it."

While the superstar refused to confirm any details for the new series, he did tease that there will definitely be some changes: "The format is ten years old and any format that has lasted that long, if you want the figures to have a chance of going up, you have to change the format, because the inevitable result is if you don’t, they will go down."

"Every aspect of the show in some particular way. It will look like a slightly different show to one you have seen before."

Dermot O'Leary: "X Factor panel has not been confirmed"

X Factor host Dermot O'Leary says the show's judges are yet to be confirmed.

There has been much speculation surrounding the state of the panel since the end of last year's show which featured Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger, Tulisa and Louis Walsh.

Rumours that Sharon Osbourne and Robbie Williams names have featured in the possible list of big names, but O'Leary says he is being kept in the dark.

In an interview with ITV he admitted: "No one has been confirmed."

The star also spoke about his burgeoning friendship with Barlow.

He said: "I get a few texts from Gary from time to time [and] we see each other quite a lot and he's the one I go out for dinner with and have fun with."

Olly Murs recently announced his departure from his hosting duties on The Xtra Factor. O'Leary says the star will be missed, adding: "Well I will miss Olly because he's like a little brother to me, but I'm so glad for him, because he loves doing this and the only reason he wouldn't do this is because he's so busy."

Reports have suggested last year's contestant Rylan Clark will replace Murs on the show, alongside Caroline Flack.

O'Leary added: "I think Rylan would be good but the most important thing is that Caroline is happy."

Former X Factor finalist Amelia Lily would "love" to see Cheryl Cole back on the show's judging panel this year.

There is currently a lot of speculation over who will grace the coveted seats on this year's UK show.

Lily thinks Girls Aloud star Cole - who departed the show in 2011 after three years - would be welcomed back with open arms.

She gushed in an interview with British magazine new!: "I would love to see Cheryl back. I'm a fan of Cheryl. She was great on the show and she is a great person."

Tulisa and Nicole Scherzinger were the female judges on the last season of The X Factor. Lily thinks the pair made excellent additions.

She explained: I got on with Tulisa while I was on the show and Nicole really is great. I'm hoping Simon Cowell will return - he's the ultimate judge."

Meanwhile, it's been confirmed that The X Factor will revert back to its old format. Instead of auditioning in front of a live audience, wannabe contestants will perform in a more intimate setting like in the show's early days.

A spokesman told British newspaper The Sun: “We can confirm the audition rooms will be returning to the X Factor as one of a number of exciting changes.”

The contestants will then have to impress judges at a second stage in front of a live audience before being put through to Boot Camp.

One person turns up for Colchester X Factor auditions

40-year-old Cher Townrow was the only person to show up in the first hour at the Colchester auditions for 'The X Factor'.

Mobile auditions are taking place across the UK this week in an attempt to discover talent that might not turn up in the normal preliminary rounds, but unfortunately the Colchester run wasn't very fruitful.

Townrow told The Sun newspaper that only around 20 people tried out for the show all day at The Red Lion Hotel in the area: "I was walking home and saw it on the sign for the auditions. At home I can sing brilliantly, but it didn't happen here. I'm surprised no-one else was here. It could have been the cold weather."

The lack of interest shown by the general public might be a worry, but a spokesperson for 'The X Factor' was quick to reassure the media that it simply isn't a problem: "The X Factor mobile auditions are taking place across the UK this week, allowing budding artists to try out in towns and cities where the auditions tour doesn't reach."

"The numbers attending vary from location to location and are on a par with last year when we found our winner James Arthur. Overall applications are strong for this series and are in line with last year. We've had strong turnouts at other locations for the mobile auditions with more than 250 people turning up at Hull and over 100 in Great Yarmouth."

Speaking about the forthcoming new series of the popular talent show, Sinitta explained that she knows what's in store and while she can't reveal anything yet it will be very exciting:

"Nothing's been solidly decided yet... but I kind of do know what is happening and it's exciting. I think you guys are going to be shocked. I think it's going to be like, 'Oh really?' But it's not going to be me on the panel."

She also told Digital Spy that although she has only ever been invited onto 'The X Factor' as a guest panelist, she would definitely accept a permanent judging role if it was offered to her:

"Ten years later, it's still the biggest joke running, right - 'Sinitta for X Factor judge'. But I would still do it if they asked."

Frankie Cocozza on music career: 'This is what I want to do with my life'

Former X Factor contestant Frankie Cocozza has revealed that he's happy with the direction his music career is taking and has been on a much more straight-and-narrow path since leaving the show.

Cocozza famously quit the show in 2011 as a result of his life 'spiralling out of control', but he recently explained to the Daily Star newspaper that since touring and making music with his current band he hasn't even thought about his heavy partying lifestyle:

"During X Factor, I couldn't handle all the comments so I got hammered whenever I could just to cover the fact I was feeling bad. Since I've been in the band, it's just been hard work and I've not thought about anything else. I'm enjoying making my family and friends proud."

The singer added that the support of his fans has made the struggle worthwhile: "It's unbelievable. I expected it to be good but the crowds turning up blow my mind. The fans genuinely love me and start crying and stuff. They are so lovely. This is what I want to do with my life."

He also spoke about how his girlfriend of a year, Leah Hudson, has helped him to remain sober and in control: "I'm majorly loved-up. I've been with her for pretty much a year and I've been faithful and good. She sorted me out."

Tulisa: "I haven't been axed from The X Factor"

Tulisa has denied reports she's been "axed" from The X Factor.

The 24-year-old singer's position on the show as a judge has been hefty fodder for tabloids over the past few months, but the star insists she is still an official member of the programme.

She told the Sunday People newspaper: ''I haven't been axed from 'The X Factor'. I love the show, I'd always want to do it. Last year was much harder than my first series but I did enjoy it.

''I've contacted Simon and had dinner with show producer Richard Holloway and his wife a couple of weeks ago. We're all friends and I've not been told that I won't be going back.''

Tulisa also rubbished claims she has strained relationships with Simon Cowell and fellow judge Gary Barlow.

She explained: ''I'm realistic. If Simon had called to say I was sacked, I'd say. If there were issues, I'd say. I love speaking the truth as I feel like nobody else does it. I'm not one to hold back. Simon and I are cool with each other, it doesn't go as deep as people think.

Tulisa added: ''Gary and I had our on-screen spats but we'd come off the stage and it would be cool. There weren't really any spats backstage.''
