The Wanted perform without Nathan Sykes on Dancing with the Stars

The Wanted performed last night (May 14) without Nathan Sykes as he continues his recovery from vocal surgery.

The singer is currently taking a break from the group after getting a hemorrhaging nodule removed from his vocal cord.

It will take months for the Brit to recover from the operation, with the singer's future vocal ability in doubt.

It was business as usual for The Wanted, however, who performed a cover of Tori Kelly's 'Fill A Heart' on US TV show Dancing with the Stars as a foursome.

Tom Parker meanwhile tweeted about their link-up with charity Child Hunger Ends Here: "Loved performing on DWTS. And it was for a real worthy cause."

Avril Lavigne also performed on the TV show as she promotes her latest single 'Here's To Never Growing Up'.

Adele "speechless" at Grammy nominations

Songstress Adele has spoken out about the great honour of being nominated for 6 Grammy Awards.

The superstar, who is currently recovering from throat surgery, took to her official website over the weekend (December 3) to thank her fans for their unwavering support and to share her great news. She wrote:

"Just home from New York, that’s my main excuse for not posting a message sooner, but I’m also completely and utterly lost for words. A couple days after finally being able to talk again I’m pretty speechless. Thank you so much to the academy for nominating this record for 6 Grammys!!!"

Her latest album, '21', has been recognised in 6 highly respected categories including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, and she gave credit to the people who have both bought and listened to it in her post, adding:

"This has been the best year as it is but to end 2011 with this incredible achievement and honour is beyond anything I can express. Thank you to every single person who has taken a shining to this record, for making it have such an impact, this record has taken on a life of its own thanks to you. I made the record and you’ve made it what’s its become."

Adele will not perform on The X Factor finale

Vocal sensation Adele will not mark her comeback with a performance on The X Factor, her spokesperson has confirmed.

It was revealed earlier this week that the 'Turning Tables' superstar planned to return to the stage with a special live show on the finale of the talent contest next month, but a representative for the singer has now outed the rumour as false.

The spokeswoman insisted a performance is "not going to happen" and Adele recently told fans that she is "doing really well, on the mend, super happy, relaxed and very positive with it all" following her throat surgery.

Adele undergoes surgery in Boston

A spokesman for Massachusetts General Hospital announced that Adele underwent vocal cord microsurgery to stop recurrent bleeding from a benign polyp. The condition is usually the result of unstable blood vessels in the vocal cord that can rupture.

The hospital said the 23-year-old British singer came to Boston to undergo the surgery with Dr. Steven Zeitels, director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Voice Center. The hospital said Zeitels expects Adele to make a full recovery from the laser microsurgery.

Pressparty revealed on October 29 that Adele was to undergo surgery.

R. Kelly's Black Panties

R. Kelly has described his upcoming album, 'Black Panties', as an 'R&B-like thriller album' similar to his 90's albums rather than his last 'Love Letter' album.

Kelly said: "I'm on Mission Benjamin Button right now, I'ma turn back time. I just did the whole 'Love Letter' joint and everybody thinking, `Well, that's the direction he going now.' No, that was a moment in time. Now this 'Black Panties' album, I think it'll be an R&B-like thriller album, if you will."

Kelly is recovering well from emergency throat surgery which he underwent in July to drain an abscess on one of his tonsils.
