The '21' star has countless admirers across the world and it seems that pop princess Spears is one of them.

Speaking in Elle, the former X Factor USA star said that Adele is not only enamouring through her music, but in her personality too. The 'Toxic' singer said:

"Her voice is just not like any other voice out there. It draws the emotion out of you. A lot of her songs kind of put me in a trance. We were both at the VMAs, and they were like, 'Do you want to meet Adele?' and I was like, 'Um, yes!'. She was even better than I imagined, in person – she's so incredibly down-to-earth."

Spears continued: "You can tell she hasn't gotten caught up in that pop music machine thing – which is easy to get caught in – and she hasn't just listened to what executives were telling her to do. All of her stuff is hers, and that's really amazing."

International superstar West hit headlines recently when he publicly dissed Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z during an onstage performance.

During an instrumental, West took the opportunity to rant about his disapproval of his friend Jay-Z’s collaboration on Timberlake’s comeback single, shouting to the crowds: “I got love for Hov, but I ain’t f**king with that ‘Suit & Tie’.”

West  - who is famed for being outspoken - also ranted about Taylor Swift during the gig in London, after interrupting the country star's acceptance speech during the 2009 MTV VMAs.

However, Mars doesn't think West's frank nature is a bad thing.

Speaking to Capital FM, Mars explained: "I don't think you can be mad at a guy that speaks his opinion – whether you disagree with it or not.It's hard being in the spotlight, you're doing interviews and shows, and you want to just be politically correct so people like you and buy your albums. It takes a lot for someone to be honest in these kind of situations.

He continued: "That is what Kanye West is. He is going to speak his mind, you might not agree with everything that he says, but you know what the guy's telling it like it is in his mind. You can't be mad at that."

During an interview that features in the December issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, the 'Little Things' singer explained that getting a smooch from Perry was a very memorable moment for him:

"It was amazing and very purple - she had purple lipstick on. I don't think there will ever be anything cooler than kissing her. Until I marry her maybe!"

He also revealed that he doesn't have a specific type when it comes to women, but he thinks The X Factor's Tulisa Contostavlos is a great girl because she's so down to earth when they hang out:

"I've got loads of good female friends, like Tulisa, but every time I'm pictured with her people say we're going out. I don't really have a type, but for banter she's brilliant. She loves playing PlayStation. Tulisa is cool as f**k."

The pop group had been rumoured earlier this year to be participating in the drinks company's new advertising campaign.

It had been speculated that there would be an American Football theme and it seems these links have come true.

Pepsi have uploaded a teaser clip on YouTube of the band with New Orleans Saints' quarterback Drew Brees.

The NFL star suggests that the two camps could team up under the name "1DB", which is greeted with murmurs of derision from One Direction.

The 'One Thing' stars are the latest big name act to team up with Pepsi, following in the footsteps of famous names such as David Beckham and the Spice Girls.

Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne told Capital FM that the Irishman keeps talking about his tender moment with the 'Wide Awake' star at the MTV VMAs on September 6.

Horan locked lips with Perry as he was being congratulated over one of his band's award wins and Louis Tomlinson said his bandmate is constantly mentioning it. He said:

"Listen right, he won't stop going on about it."

Liam Payne meanwhile did an impression of Horan, saying: "Listen, I kissed Katy Perry."

Referring to Perry's hit track 'I Kissed A Girl', the One Direction pair were then asked if Perry's lips tasted of cherry chapstick, to which Tomlinson replied:

"We asked that today but he was inconclusive. He wouldn't whisper a word."

Niall Horan meanwhile recently joked that he hasn't washed off Katy Perry's lipstick since the kiss.

The 'Teenage Dream' beauty congratulated Horan on his recent win at the MTV VMAs by giving him a purple lipstick-tinged peck on the lips, and he joked to Australian radio show hosts Kyle and Jackie O that he was so excited about it he hasn't washed since:

"Katy Perry had lovely purple lipstick on and I still haven't washed it off to be fair!"

He then opened up about both his and his boyband's relationship with social networking sites and spoke about the importance of keeping an audience in mind when writing public messages because not only do people look up to him, but they can also judge him on what he posts:

"We know not to overstep the mark online! It's common sense, you don't have to be a genius to figure it out."

The pair were recently pictured together, along with Horan's bandmate Zayn Malik, in Los Angeles as they cooked food.

Their rendezvous came as their respective fans were engulfed in a bloodthirsty battle to see their act win the publicly voted Most-Shareworthy Video gong at the MTV VMAs on September 6, which the British boyband ultimately picked up.

Bieber tweeted late last night (September 10) that he was in London with Horan, One Direction drummer Josh Devine and director Alfredo Flores. He said:

"In London with @AlfredoFlores @niallofficial and @joshdevinedrums #nosleep."

Justin Bieber and One Direction fans meanwhile are set to go head-to-head once again as they look to see their idols win the Biggest Fans award at the MTV EMAs in Frankfurt on November 11.

The Canadian singer took to Twitter to encourage fans to interact with the award, tweeting:

"WHAT?!? #Beliebers are in the running for the Biggest Fans at the MTV EMAs! http://www.mtvema.com  to help earn points for our team! LEGGO!."

The Queen of Pop turned heads at the 2003 MTV VMAs when she kissed Spears and Aguilera whilst performing together.

Speaking to EW, MTV Music Group President Van Toffler however said that Jennifer Lopez was originally lined up to perform with Madonna instead. He said:

"It was a long road to get to that Britney and Christina kiss, because they weren't necessarily the first couple of people who were on the hit list. This may be the first time it's revealed, but originally J. Lo was in the mix. That didn't happen."

He continued: "The thing about Britney and Madonna was they had history, so it was not easy to get them together on the stage. Both Britney and Christina obviously respected Madonna, so only she could pull that off. You have to have that kind of pull."

The singer has constantly battled romance rumours involving the Irishman, with both camps denying the speculation.

Speaking to E!, Lovato said that he is just a "friend" - and that's it. She said:

"There is nothing going on. Niall's my friend. I'm really happy for One Direction and the success that they've had. It just goes to show you how crazy this competition is to making stars and the success that they have. He's a good friend of mine."

Niall Horan shouldn't feel too disheartened however, with the X Factor USA judge admitting that she doesn't want to date anyone at all for some time. She said:

"I'm just focusing on my work right now, and that's pretty much that."

'What Makes You Beautiful' singer Horan didn't do much to diminish romance speculation between himself and Lovato recently by admitting in a video interview that she is his celebrity crush.

Back in 2010 at the MTV Video Music Awards, Gaga wore a striking dress made from tied-together pieces of meat and the outfit has now been dried, preserved and painted to restore it to its original bloody colour, and will feature in a national touring exhibition.

The exhibition opened today (September 7) at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington and Curator Meredith Rutledge-Borger told The Associated Press that "bringing this exhibit here kind of redefines what's important in our history and political life... at a time when there's talk of women being under attack in politics."

Earlier this afternoon, Gaga unveiled the newest installation of her 'MONSTERVISION' series and this new episode shows her cycling barefoot, shopping in a vintage store and enjoying time with her touring crew.

The singer has been working hard on new material and she revealed last night (September 6) that her new single would be released in September.

The track will be called 'Die Young', with Ke$ha tweeting:

"Animals. die young. it's my first single. coming this month. weeeee ! xx."

Her announcement was preceded by a photo of the singer sitting on a seat naked whilst brushing her teeth and being tended to by assistants. She tweeted matter-of-factly:

"Just naked brushing my teeth pre VMAs."

As previously reported, producer Dr. Luke says that Ke$ha's new album will see the singer evolve but still retain her typical hallmarks.

As previously reported, Bieber's manager Scooter Braun tweeted recently that his client was hanging out with Malik and Horan ahead of the MTV VMAs.

The Canadian today (September 7) uploaded photos of the trio together, although it is unclear if they are from their original meeting or a new rendezvous.

The snaps see the famous faces together having fun whilst another shows Horan helping Bieber cook some noodles.

While the two pop acts seem to be coming closer, their fans have been in a bloodthirsty battle over the last few weeks to determine the winner of a publicly voted MTV Video Music Award.

Both Bieber and One Direction were nominated in the Most Share-Worthy Video category, but it was the British boyband that eventually won at the ceremony last night (September 6) as 'What Makes You Beautiful' triumphed.
