"I'm seeing @OfficialAdele's name a lot. I would LOVE to work with her! @OfficialAdele fancy it? :D #music"

Jessie J opens up on The Jonathan Ross Show

Jessie J appeared as a guest on last night's Jonathan Ross Show where she performed her latest single 'Domino' and spoke about her "broken ankle", Adele's vocal issues and being part of the panel on talent show The Voice UK.

The 'Price Tag' superstar admitted that she can't believe how quickly her career has taken off and explained that being asked to work as a judge on The Voice was a fantastic honour considering her young age and the collective experience of the other mentors:

"I was approached by The Voice and obviously, for me, it was a bit scary. I'm 23, I'm only 12 months into my career - I still feel like I'm queuing up for the ride."

She also admitted that upon discovering 'Domino' had made it to the top of the charts, she celebrated by leaping into a swimming pool, but was soon brought back down to earth by a friend who pointed out her single was in fact only No.1 on the pop charts:

"I was in Thailand, we were all in our pajamas like sitting by the pool - beautiful evening - having a glass of wine, I went on my Twitter and saw 'you're No.1 on iTunes' so I freaked out!"

"I thought I'm going to jump in the pool. Jumped in the pool, realised I was a bit tipsy, panicked, couldn't swim..."

"We put 'Domino' on, like disco lights in the pool, then one of my best friends just looked at me and went 'babe, Flo Rida's No.1'. I was Number 1 on the pop iTunes chart, but not the official iTunes chart so all of us were standing there freezing cold naked like 'should we just go to bed?'"

Jessie J makes charitable donations of clothes

Vocal sensation Jessie J is continuing her charitable efforts well into the new year and has admitted that she often donates unwanted outfits to charity shops or gives them to the homeless people in her neighbourhood.

Talking to The Sun newspaper, the 'Nobody's Perfect' songstress and fashionista explained that she will always help those in need where she can even if the gesture is as simple as giving away clothes:

"I get given a lot of clothes and I don't always like them so I give them to homeless people or to local charity shops."

"There are some cool homeless people who are kitted out around my area now. The charity shop near where I live has loads of my clothes in the window. We walked past and all my friends were liking these gold shoes and I screamed, 'Well, they are mine'."

She intends to raise a significant amount of money for charity later in 2012 by shaving her head and recently revealed that she is "excited to do something good for the world".

Songstress Jessie J has given fans an update on her plans to shave her head for charity later this year.

Speaking to Capital FM, the 'Nobody's Perfect' star explained that she will meet with the organisations she wants to help over the next few weeks:

"I'm having a meeting about it next week and talking about the charities I want to do it for and how we're going to do it. It's one of those things you say but a lot of planning has to go into it. But I'm excited; I'm excited to do something good for the world."

She also admitted that breaking her foot and spending a lot of time in hospital inspired her to give something back as she met lots of young people who were incredibly brave and it encouraged her to support worthy causes:

"When I broke my foot I went round a lot of hospitals and met a lot of kids that inspired me more than anything else. The passion they have to carry on through times of illness. I need to use being someone that people know to do something good for the world."

Speaking to Capital FM, the 'Nobody's Perfect' hitmaker explained that helping those less fortunate is something she has always gravitated towards and despite her fame she still plans to go down that route at some stage in her life:

"Id be doing something to put some good into the world. I'd be a social worker or an inspirational speaker or I'd work with children or I'd work with people that hadn't been so privileged as myself growing up. I'd still want to do that in my life."

Jessie J: 'I got to a point where music wasn't making me happy any more'

Jessie J has admitted that she recently came close to stepping out of the limelight because she simply "wasn't happy" with her career as a singer-songwriter.

The 'Nobody's Perfect' vocal powerhouse explained to The Sun newspaper that after a tough few months she began wondering why she was still in the music industry because it had stopped making her happy:

"I got to a point where I questioned why I was in the music industry. I wasn't happy. I got to a point where I couldn't do it any more and had to have a break."

Her track 'Who You Are' almost faced the cut too, but she decided to keep it in her repertoire as she explained that other people can find inspiration from others' pain:

"I am so glad I kept at it as the story behind it is helping and inspiring a lot of people."

Jessie J addresses "pitchy" X Factor performance on Twitter

Jessie J has publicly addressed her performance on last night's X Factor (November 27) after being met with criticism for a supposedly "pitchy" rendition of her latest single.

The singer-songwriter treated viewers and the studio audience alike to a rousing version of her new offering, 'Who You Are', although soon came under fire for her apparently imperfect vocals.

She took to Twitter earlier this afternoon, November 28, to talk about the unfair pressure put on artists faced with unfavourable live conditions and explained that she could barely hear the track through her in-ear monitor and knew she wasn't on point with every note:

"Its funny that people that follow you tweet you but don't @ you when there slagging you off. I WAS pitchy last night and its the first thing I said when I came off stage. The track was so low in my ears I couldn't hardly hear it. I am a realist and I'm NOT perfect. I'm growing and learning and I'd rate half the artists more if they had the guts to say shit to my face..."

"There not even haters. They presumers. The pressure to be perfect 24:7 is unfair on ALL artists. I over sang at points yes I wasn't in tune the whole song yes and I'm confident to put that out there. Its important to know your qualities but also know where things can be improved. I don't wanna be an artist put in a bubble, but I will say this...To date I've never mimed or lip synced. That I'm proud of."

The 'Nobody's Perfect' songstress added: "Even people who were on MY tour went in on me on twitter. Lmao! The way I lose respect for people who you think understand."

The 'Price Tag' star, widely known for her unique sense of style, explained to Now magazine that as much as skyscraper shoes look amazing she would rather parade around the stage comforatble in the knowledge that she doesn't have to worry about her balance:

"The best fashion lesson I've learnt is don't wear shoes you can't walk in because it ruins your night. Believe me, since I broke my foot and haven't been able to wear heels, my legs aren't achy."

"I don't think I'll wear heels again. I might just get some really blinged up Skechers trainers."
