The chart-topping boyband - also comprising Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne - are currently on their Take Me Home world tour, and played in Munich last night (May 17).

The five-piece landed in Italy today to play two shows in Verona and Milan on the 19th and 20th May.

Horan took to Twitter to gush about the band's welcome: "I love Milan, what a beautiful city! And I love Italian food ! Fans were super nice outside today! (sic)."

Earlier in the day, Horan thanked fans for their support in Germany.

He said: "Wazaaappp! Great night in Munich last night! Unbelieveable crowd! (sic)."

Meanwhile, Payne used the social networking site to share his gratitude to One Direction's loyal supporters.

He added: "Munich you were amzinngggg tonight :) so happy to be back on tour :) (sic)."

The group were performing in Hamburg on Sunday (May 12) when the singer was seemingly presented with a fan's camera.

The result was a close-up view of the band as they played through the hit track 'Live While We're Young'.

Payne walked around the stage with the iPod as his bandmates, including Zayn Malik and Niall Horan, were caught on video.

As previously reported, the British singer recently took to Twitter to thank fans for coming to their European Take Me Home tour.

The jaunt is set to hit Zurich, Switzerland on Thursday (May 16) for its next date as One Direction fever continues to grow.

She shared a photograph of One Direction's Zayn Malik napping this afternoon (May 13) and accompanied the adorable picture with the cheeky caption: "The perks of your boyfriend not waking up through anything. Pretty LM nails Zayn (; Perrie <3"

Malik's nails are decorated with the 'Perrie' red and black designs (pictured below and above left in the packaging) and fans can purchase the wraps from retailers in the UK now from just £4.99. All four Little Mix beauties have their own designs that range in style and colour.

The Little Mix girls, meanwhile, are enjoying some downtime and member Leigh-Anne Pinnock tweeted a message to her Mixers to let them know she's having a great holiday with her own boyfriend.

The Irishman is the only remaining member of the group not have inked art onto his body, with the likes of Harry Styles and Zayn Malik noted for their tattoos.

In a post on Twitter on Sunday (May 12), Horan denied speculation that he had gone under the needle - and suggested that he won't be doing so any time soon. The singer said:

"By the way I didn't get a tattoo! Not plannin either."

As previously reported, Horan was previously quoted as saying that he thought about getting 'Made in Ireland' inked onto his bottom - but it was too "squidgy" to get tattooed.

The Little Mix singer has been dating the One Direction star for a number of months and it seems they are only going from strength to strength.

Speaking to Star, Edwards said that she is open enough with her boyfriend to wear no makeup. She revealed:

"Zayn and I are at the stage where we feel fully comfortable with one another."

When asked if Malik prefers her with or without makeup, the 'Wings' star said: "My boyfriend says he likes me either way. I have good skin like [bandmate] Jesy [Nelson], so going make-up-free doesn't bother me too much. If I know the paparazzi are about I carry large shades with me."

As previously reported, the girl group recently unveiled the promo clip for their new single 'How Ya Doin'?', which features a cameo from Missy Elliott.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday (April 9), Malik praised the group's video, which features girlfriend Perrie Edwards. He said:

"Gotta watch the new @LittleMixOffic video !! It's sick and missy Elliot's bars are hard ! Haha x :)."

Not forgetting his lady, however, the One Direction star then added: "Oh and p.s. perrie is quite fit too ;)."

The singer has been dating the One Direction star for a number of months and it seems their connection is still going strong.

Speaking to Twist magazine, Edwards revealed that she can't bear to be away from Malik for long periods of time - something which touring obviously doesn't help. She said:

"Zayn is so lovely. You know things are good when you can't wait to see the other person. It's a sense of friendship. The main thing I looked for is if he's fun to be around, if I can have a laugh with him. When it's more of a friendship, it can blossom."

Malik meanwhile has been the subject of cheating rumours this year - but Edwards added that they don't pay much attention to tabloid gossip. She said:

"I try not to let what I read in the paper get to me. But I still read things and I think 'That didn't happen'. We laugh about things and refuse to let it get to us."

The 20-year-old singer told the Daily Star that he used to box when he was a teenager and has recently resumed light training.

However, he added that he would like to try out the sport again "properly" in the future. The 'Little Things' star said:

"I did boxing from when I was 15 to 17. I love it and I've started training again now on the side, even though we don't get much time off for exercise."

Malik added: "I'm trying to eat healthier so I can bulk up. I'd love to pursue it properly one day."

The You Generation project was launched yesterday (March 20) in a live broadcast on YouTube, with One Direction giving an interview.

The boyband were tasked with a number of different challenges to unearth some secret talents.

Liam Payne tried to do twenty keepie-uppies with a football in thirty seconds, completing the task on his second attempt - with a bit of playful cheating.

Zayn Malik meanwhile drew a picture of his favourite One Direction member - Louis Tomlinson.

The pop duo have been dating for a number of months and due to the popularity of their respective bands, their partnership is often scrutinised by the public and the media.

Speaking to the Metro, Edwards likened herself to a "piece of meat" in light of the focus that is placed on herself and Malik. She said:

"I don't really like it. I feel like a piece of meat. To be honest, I'd rather not have the attention."

The 'Wings' star added: "I don't think people should comment or gawp on who they think is hot. I don't think men should be like that, or even women. I'm a person not a lamb chop."

The singer is often regarded as one of the more vain members of the 'Live While We're Young' group and regularly sports supremely styled hair.

Speaking to Sunday Life, Malik admitted, however, that it comes with the territory when you're in a massive pop band. He said:

"I get the brunt of the mickey taking when it comes to being vain. I get made out to be the worst member of the group but the truth is we’re in a boy band so you have to be a little vain to keep yourself looking smart."

The 'Kiss You' star added: "Maybe I look in the mirror a bit too frequently, but that's because I care what I look like. But I really don't think I'm massively vain. I am probably around a six or seven vanity-wise."

The pair's relationship was under scrutiny recently after an Australian waitress claimed she bedded the One Direction star in London.

They were said to be on the rocks, but it seems all is well after the couple visited an outdoor zoo in England together yesterday (February 7).

Malik and Little Mix singer Edwards visited Knowsley Safari Park to see some exotic animals prowl the countryside, with the latter tweeting:

"Had an amazing day today at @knowsleysafari It was such a good day out! @zaynmalik :) Perrie <3."

Photos also emerged on Twitter of their visit, including a cosy snap of the pair hugging each other in front of the camera.

Every member of the group apart from Louis Tomlinson took to drawing a picture of themselves for volunteer charity vInspire.

The eBay UK auction currently stands at £200 with eight days left to run, so many more bids are expected to fly in.

Psychologist Jo Hemmings meanwhile recently analysed the pictures for The Sun, with the boffin revealing about Zayn Malik's image, which can be seen below with the red hair:

"A huge toothy grin and a well-executed, considered image – this is a boy who is at peace with himself and has a clear sense of self. He's even making a peace sign with his fingers. It reveals he's happy in the band, but sees his role as the mediator. Possibly the most serious member, this reveals maturity for a 20-year-old."

She said about Niall Horan's drawing, however, which can be seen above: "This denotes reservation and a lack of self-confidence – he neither feels he really has a right to be listened too or to speak up. He's also didn't sign it, so maybe he's not quite as comfortable in his role as the other band members."

Liam Payne's image meanwhile can be seen below, with the singer sporting a monkey look.

The lads are due to hit arenas around the UK and Ireland from February 23 as they promote their second album, with their first gig at London's O2 Arena.

Images of the five singers practising ahead of the massive shows have been uploaded online.

They see Harry Styles and Co. concentrating on their moves - and even pulling a few mock punches - as they get back into the swing of things.

Zayn Malik meanwhile can be seen wearing a top with the letter 'P' on it - perhaps a message of solidarity to girlfriend Perrie Edwards following his alleged fling with an Australian waitress.

As previously reported, Malik recently injured his hand after a skating accident on a slippery floor, with the singer calling it all a "bit stupid".
