Myke Groov and Jahsee talk their Musical Influences and Upcoming CollaborationMyke Groov and Jahsee collaborate on latest single "Thats Him" to be released May 5thOFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY 1708 Empire What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path? We both come from musical backgrounds. Tell us about your new music? And what’s the story behind it? Myke Groov: Basically we go back and forth on beats all the time. We both have sound packs coming out, so this beat was one that I used my synth pack on. I had a verse and hook already but couldn’t finish the song. I asked Jahsee to jump on the track and he killed it. Then we came up with an idea to promote the song. Jahsee came up with the idea that it would be cool to sell a sound pack with each single. The rest is history What makes your music unique? How would you describe it? Jahsee: A mashup of ideas and patterns of how I see the vibe. From the aspect of being a live drummer, I think my perspective is different when it comes to chords and melodies. Who are your biggest musical influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future? Myke Groov: Bob James, Chick Corea, Mannie Fresh, Earth Wind & Fire, Juice Wrld, Mononeon, Thundercat, and Yo Pierre. What advice would you give to aspiring musicians? What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects? Myke Groov: Jahsee and I have an EP we are working on that will have a soundpack available for each song. King Negus is coming up later this year which is another EP of songs about the pride, heritage & love of being a black man/woman. It’s going to talk a lot about self-worth while we party a little bit. And in late 2021/2022 we will hopefully have another Merlot 2 for all the SoundCloud fans that showed us so much love on the first edition Thank You Guys!!
