Jared Leto: 'I'm looking for a feature film to direct'

Oscar winning actor and 30 Seconds To Mars frontman Jared Leto has opened up about his career aspirations now his role in 'Dallas Buyers Club' is over and confessed that directing is on his radar.

Speaking at the Carnivores tour announcement press conference, which saw his band and Linkin Park confirm a north American run of dates together for later this year, Leto admitted that directing is definitely something he wants to get into next on the big screen:

"I'm certainly looking for a feature film to direct after directing 'Artifact' and all the other videos and other things that we've done over the years. It's certainly leading me toward a feature length narrative film, and I'm excited about that."

Leto added that while he doesn't want to wait years to appear in another movie, he would wait years if it meant that the perfect role came along: "I don't think I'll wait another six years but if I have to wait six years for the right project to come then I will. But I'm ready to go to work tomorrow if there is the right film."

He also recently told Access Hollywood that touring with a band isn't the typical experience fans might expect: "When you're on tour, you learn quickly how to take care of yourself. Our tour bus is pretty quiet, pretty simple, filled with some vegan butter and almond milk. So it's not the sex, drugs, rock 'n' roll."
