Jared Leto pays tribute to Ukraine protestors at Kiev show

Jared Leto took time to honour Ukrainian protestors whilst playing a gig in the country.

The singer and actor's band 30 Seconds to Mars took to the stage in Kiev on Thursday (March 13) amid political tension.

Scores of people have died in the city's Independence Square in recent weeks protesting against the ruling government.

However, this didn't deter Leto and co., with the singer saying on stage:

"You guys are in the midst of something really beautiful and it may be difficult, but there's no price too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

"And I want to let you know, I understand other bands have cancelled their shows, but there was no f**king way, no f**king way 30 Seconds to Mars wasn't going to be here in this beautiful city, in this great country here tonight."

Leto was also pictured walking down to Independence Square to pay his respects to the fallen protestors.
