“Following the release of our first single and video clip, “Zielenrust,” we felt the need to create another compelling visual experience to accompany our music,” said the band.

“In this new video, we have once again embarked on an artistic journey, crafting a visual masterpiece that perfectly complements the dark, immersive soundscapes of our music. The production of “De Koning Van Stilte” was a meticulous process, involving detailed planning and creative experimentation. We took on multiple roles, from directing and filming to editing and post-production, ensuring that every frame resonated with the song’s profound themes.”

“The video was shot in an evocative location, chosen for its atmospheric qualities and ability to enhance the narrative. Natural landscapes, abandoned structures, and dimly lit interiors were used to create a sense of isolation and introspection. The use of colour grading and special effects was carefully calibrated to reflect the emotional depth of the music, blending seamlessly with the haunting melodies and intense rhythms.”

Following on from their debut "Kravaal" (self-released, 2022), the second album “Donkere Paden” brings even more darkness and despair, divided into seven chapters. The album features guest vocalists H. from Oerheks and Shazzula from the revered Wolvennest.

The band states: "We've poured our souls into crafting an atmospheric black metal album that will transport you to realms of chilling beauty and crushing despair. Prepare yourselves, for KrvL's reign of darkness begins anew when Autumn falls…"

KrvL comprises nameless souls that drift through the Kravaal Forest in Belgium in search of the light amongst the darkness they find themselves in. With lyrics in Dutch, the band contemplates topics such as nature, finding inner peace, nemesis, resurrection and an attempt to find light in the darkness.

Musically, the band is all about atmosphere. With a foundation of traditional 90s and modern black metal, the anonymous band also mixes post-metal, doom and sludge influences.

KrvL was established at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, creating a perfect mood for the writing and recording of their debut album "Kravaal". Eventually, the album was self-released digitally in 2022 and then on vinyl in 2023. 2024 sees the band reach new heights with the signing to These Hands Melt and the release of their second album.
