50 Cent to 'stop hunger' with new charity donation

'In Da Club' hitmaker 50 Cent has revealed plans to donate a portion of the proceeds from his newly launched boxing promotions company to charity.

The star recently created TMT (The Money Team) with fighter and friend Floyd Mayweather to support and organise future boxing matches, and took to his Twitter page earlier today (July 31) to tell his fans that he will use some of the money to help stop hunger:

"I'm gonna make sure proceeds from Tmt promotions go to stoping (sic) hunger. i just woke up hungry, people are hurting."

Profits will go to the United Nations' World Food Programme and he has been pursuing his philanthropic work for some time now with his Street King project.

50 Cent is also celebrating the quick popularity of his new single 'New Day' and returned to the social networking site later in the afternoon, adding:

"New day only been on sale for a day and it's #3 oh sh*t I think I'm back # street king immortal.LOL"
