The lads from Australia's 5 Seconds Of Summer arrived home earlier today following their tour of north America and have been enjoying some well-deserved downtime with their respective families. 

Writing on his official Twitter page this afternoon, heartthrob Ashton Irwin explained that he had been hanging out with both his brother and his mother: "My little brother makes a bangin' cup of tea... Me and mum just killed a GIANT spider with a deodorant can and a lighter, AUSTRALIA."

Calum Hood then posted an update and told his fans that his mother welcomed him home with the gift of new bed sheets although he was less than excited by the design she chose: "Mum got my bed new sheets and they're really girly."

When the guys landed at Sydney Airport, they were met by groups of devoted followers but weren't allowed to stop and greet them because of security concerns and Irwin tweeted his disappointment at not being able to say hi: "They didn't let us (meet fans), I absolutely hated how that went, I never want that to happen again, I'm sorry x."
