Australian heartthrobs 5 Seconds Of Summer have revealed that they do have a pre-show ritual and it usually involves blasting loud music and messing around backstage. 

Member Calum Hood told Awesomeness TV that listening to heavy metal and rock music is something they like to do before taking the stage to perform: 'So our pre-show ritual is pretty much listening to a lot of music. It varies from, you know, a bit of Slipknot to a bit of Katy Perry... depending on how we feel!"

"We kind of just brush our teeth... I guess. And listen to heavy metal," added guitarist Michael Clifford. 

Drummer Ashton Irwin joked that he does some tailoring to his stage outfits because he sweats so much on stage that the thought of wearing clothes on stage is horrible: "I usually cut up a shirt... I don't know why. I kind of like minimal clothing on stage because I get really sweaty. So I just cut everything up to make it a lot smaller."
