5SOS amazed after their One Direction Croke Park set: '4 kids from western Sydney just played a stadium!'

Australian pop-rockers 5 Seconds Of Summer performed in support of One Direction earlier this evening at Dublin's Croke Park and the lads have now taken to their official Twitter page to share the excitement they felt during the set.

Calum Hood posted a message via the group's collective account, which explained that they played to 76,000 people and it was an unforgettable experience: "Holy s**t, 4 kids from western Sydney just played a stadium! So proud of the lads :) they did so well! Cal."

The band's drummer, Ashton Irwin, echoed the sentiment and shared an update of his own: "That was incredible. #wwa." Guitarist Michael Clifford added: "Oh my god that was amazinggggggggg."

One Direction's Niall Horan, meanwhile, also revealed his amazement at being able to perform at Croke Park recently and confessed to Nicky Byrne, of former Westlife fame, that playing a home show of that size was nothing short of a dream come true:

"It's here, finally, we've been waiting for a while for this, it's a big dream of all of ours to play Croke Park, and it's finally happening, the boys are on their way. It was kinda strange because I woke up and I didn't really know what to feel, it won't be real until I get there, I'm heading there for sound check now, it's one of those that won't get real until I'm standing there on the stage."
