5 Seconds of Summer have reflected on their rise to fame and the part their fans have played in it.

The Australians are currently on top of the world as they prepare for the release of their self-titled debut album.

They are also supporting One Direction on their European and North American Where We Are tours and it seems this has prompted the group to reflect on their rise.

The band tweeted: "Was listening to all our old covers we did back in the day with the boys last night, can't believe what you've given us the chance to become."

5 Seconds of Summer's new EP 'Don't Stop' meanwhile is currently No.1 on the UK iTunes chart.
