5 Seconds Of Summer on Capital FM Summertime Ball: 'We want fans to Instagram it and rock out'

Australian heartthrobs 5 Seconds Of Summer are due to take the stage at London's Capital FM Summertime Ball this coming weekend (June 21) and they've given fans some advice on how to enjoy their set.

Speaking to Capital FM's showbiz reporter, the band explained that gig goers will get more out of their performance if they dress up and celebrate the moment with photos:

"I want them to rock out and have a good party, [take] a good Instagram photo maybe? Maybe even dressed as some sort of fruit? If you can dress as a giant fruit! A banana maybe? You can dress as any sort of fruit if you like, not specifically a banana."

The Capital FM Summertime Ball will take place on Saturday, June 21 at Wembley Stadium, which has a capacity of around 80,000, and 5SOS's Michael Clifford explained that he's trying not to think about how many people will be in attendance because it makes him nervous: "Yes. You know what, I haven't watched any footage of it because I think I'm going to be really, really scared."

Earlier today, the stars shot straight in at No.1 in the UK Top 40 singles chart with their latest offering, 'Don't Stop', and it was confirmed that the track is currently around 20,000 copies ahead of this week's No.2 single, which is Ella Henderson's 'Ghost'.
