5 Seconds of Summer don't care if people 'hate' their debut album

5 Seconds of Summer have stated that it "doesn't matter" if some people dislike their first album.

The Australian group are due to unleash their self-titled debut record on June 30 in the UK and they told Capital FM that they are "really proud" of the collection.

The band added that if people "hate" the album then that won't put them down.

They said: "We really hope the fans love it, everyone loves it. Some people might hate it, doesn't matter! We're really proud of it and we can't wait to show the world what we've been working on."

5 Seconds of Summer meanwhile have announced plans to play an acoustic show and do a signing at a HMV in London on July 1.
