5 Seconds of Summer have revealed their excitement after announcing a European tour.

The Australians will play a slew of shows in the continent next year, including a run of dates in the UK and Ireland.

Speaking in a statement, bassist Calum Hood said that they will showcase their newly released debut album at the gigs.

He said: "We are going to try and make the this is such a huge thing for us to be able to come and see you all. We can not wait to play you the album and loads more, we love you guys and hope you are as excited as we are. Let's rock let's rock today".

The Rock With Your Socks Out tour meanwhile will feature two dates at London's Wembley Arena in June.
