Australian heartthrobs 5 Seconds Of Summer have revealed that they can't believe the success they've managed to achieve so far and can't thank fans enough for supporting and standing by them.

The band posted a message via their group account and explained that coming from a very DIY background to experiencing international fame is amazing and they're grateful for every opportunity their hard work has created:

"What an amazing day... We can't explain what this journey has been like so far, from our parents' garages and doing covers with our iPhones. To having you guys behind us all the way, we love and adore everything you do for us, let's take on the world."

So far this year, the lads have performed at the Billboard Music Awards, won a Kerrang! Award, and have just been confirmed to perform at this year's MTV VMAs next month in Las Vegas. This weekend will also see them wrap up the European leg of their support slot with One Direction on the Where We Are tour and they confessed that it has been such a great run:

"Last show of the European tour today, it's been so amazing, you've all been so epic... Can't thank the boys enough for havin' us!"
