5 Seconds of Summer's Ashton Irwin: 'I'd like to be known for our live shows'

5 Seconds of Summer drummer Ashton Irwin says he wants the band's live shows to become their calling card.

The group have been busy this year supporting One Direction on their Where We Are world stadium tour.

However, the Australians will embark on their own headline tour in 2015, travelling to most major regions of the globe.

Speaking to Billboard, Irwin said that he hopes people will leave their headline shows wanting to come back for more.

He said: "It's incredible to even have the opportunity to create an amphitheatre/arena show. I'm really looking forward to that. I really want people just to leave the show going, 'Wow, I can't wait to see a 5 Seconds of Summer show again'. I'd like to be known for our live shows, so I really want to put on an experience for our fans."

Next up meanwhile for 5 Seconds of Summer on the One Direction tour is a date in Houston on August 22.
