5SOS on haters: 'Some people seek us out online just to send us abuse'

Pop-punkers 5 Seconds Of Summer are currently enjoying enormous success around the world, but they have revealed that while most people are very welcoming of them and supportive, there are still moments when they have to deal with haters.

Heartthrob Luke Hemmings confessed that sometimes he checks the comments on his band's videos on YouTube and is always pleased to see the support and love from genuine fans, but can't believe people seek out their material purely to write negative remarks and to send them abuse:

"I feel like everyone on the internet's either really for us or really against us. I went on YouTube the other day and looked at our videos, and all of our fans are really nice and there are people saying really nice things, but then there are people there to... I don't know... just keyboard warriors."

The band's guitarist, Michael Clifford, recently told London's Metro newspaper that sometimes the band forget lyrics to their songs while on stage, which can be awkward: "We have definitely forgotten the lyrics before. It’s really embarrassing because you’ll be singing the words and then you’ll see [a hot girl]."
