5SOS share footage from their 'Hey, Let's Make a Band!' book cover shoot

Australian pop-punkers 5 Seconds Of Summer are gearing up to release their official autobiography, which is called 'Hey, Let's Make a Band!', and publisher Harper Collins has now unveiled footage from the book's cover shoot.

In the new video clip, the heartthrobs can be seen larking around on set while having pictures taken for the book's cover and accompanying promotional material and member Michael Clifford can be seen telling the camera:

"We are doing a photoshoot for our book and I think we have to take our pants off at some point today!"

A press release explains that this project aims to share the lads' true story with their devoted fans: "This book is pretty much our official story so far... It really does only seem like yesterday we were playing our first ever gig to twelve people at Sydney's Annandale Hotel back in 2011. Since then we’ve been given the opportunity to pursue our dreams and one day turn into the people and musicians we've always wanted to be."

"The people who gave us this chance were our fans. So this book is like a thank you from us to you guys. We want everyone to know our story so far... We're just a bunch of teenagers from western Sydney that picked up some instruments, started a band in a garage and now get to tour the world doing what we love - playing music. There’s also some embarrassing photos of us mucking around and a bunch of facts that some of us didn’t even know about each other. We hope you like it!"

'Hey, Let's Make a Band!' is due to be released on October 14 and it will cost $21.99.
