5 Seconds of Summer have announced that they will perform at this year's ARIA Awards.

The event, held by the Australian Recording Industry Association, will take place in Sydney on November 26.

The 'Don't Stop' group are nominated for four gongs - Song of the Year, Best Pop Release, Breakthrough Artist and Best Group.

However, the Australians have now confirmed on Twitter that they will open the show.

The band wrote: "Australia. Excited to announce that we’re coming home again to open the @ARIA_Official awards ceremony on Nov 26!"

The ARIAs, however, could be dominated by Chet Faker, who has nine nominations.
