5 Seconds of Summer have spoken about their highlights of the year.

The Australian group have enjoyed a massive 2014, from releasing their debut album to touring the world with One Direction.

The pop-punkers were asked about their higlights of the year at the People Magazine Awards on Thursday (December 18).

Luke Hemmings told the publication: "I think just putting together our own album and putting out our music, and stuff like that.

"And we played two shows at The Forum in LA not so long ago. We've had so many it's hard to narrow it down."

Drummer Ashton Irwin added: "It's been a good year."
