5SOS nominated for International Group prize at the 2015 BRIT Awards

The nominations for this year's BRIT Awards were announced this afternoon (January 15) and Australian pop-punk band 5 Seconds Of Summer have been recognised in the International Group category

The lads face tough competition for the title because Foo Fighters, The Black Keys, The War On Drugs, and First Aid Kit are also up for the coveted prize.

The 2015 BRITs will be held at London's O2 Arena on February 25 and performances will come from the likes of Taylor Swift and Sam Smith. Ed Sheeran will also play live and other music stars will be announced over the coming weeks.

The 'She Looks So Perfect' heartthrobs are currently enjoying some down time before their schedule gets crazy again, and drummer Ashton Irwin took to his official Twitter page late last night to tell his followers that he can't wait to get back out on the road with his band: "Training hard again to get fit for ROWYSO TOUR! Want to put on the best show possible for you guys. I'm so excited..."
