5 Seconds of Summer give Meghan Trainor thumbs up after 'Don't Stop' cover

5 Seconds of Summer have given Meghan Trainor their seal of approval after she covered one of their songs.

The US star performed their track 'Don't Stop' for BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge on Tuesday (January 20).

The effort saw Trainor give the song an almost country feel, with the singer also playing ukulele.

5 Seconds of Summer drummer Ashton Irwin took to Twitter after the cover to praise the performance, writing:

"This is hella groovy!!! @Meghan_Trainor you rule! This rules."

Trainor later retweeted Irwin's message.

'Don't Stop' features on 5 Seconds of Summer's 2014 self-titled debut album.
