5 Seconds of Summer have given fans a behind the scenes video from Japan.

The lads are currently in the country for a series of live shows.

They will play their first headline gig in the country tonight (February 25) at the Akasaka Blitz in Tokyo.

The Australians uploaded a video today to Twitter of themselves on stage preparing for the gig.

5 Seconds of Summer will play then four shows with One Direction at the Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo on February 27, 28, March 1 and 2.

Speaking recently on Twitter, the band said: "This is such an exciting time I can't believe we are actually in Tokyo, Japan, and we are playing a headline show."

Guitarist Michael Clifford added that he is "utterly in love" with Japan.
