5SOS's Ashton Irwin on band's new album: 'I am so proud of it'

Australian pop-punk band 5 Seconds Of Summer are currently working on their sophomore album and member Ashton Irwin, who drums in the group, has revealed that it's turning out to be a record he is very proud of.

The heartthrob took to his official Twitter page earlier today (April 16) and told his followers that he's so excited about the progress they're making on the collection of new songs: "So proud of the second album..." Earlier this month, the star also admitted that he's putting everything into this record: "BIG weekend of recording!!! Loved it! Every smack of the drum has my heart and soul in it! Arms feel like they're gonna fall off... Goodnight!"

Irwin also told his fans that he hasn't been as active on social media lately because he's enjoying downtime at home with his loved ones: "Sorry I haven't been super active! Just hangin' with my fam!"

5SOS's upcoming Rock Out With Your Socks Out tour is set to kick off next month on May 4 with a performance at the MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal and the final date is due to take place on September 13 at the Coral Sky Amphitheater in Florida.
