5SOS's Ashton: 'Technology is stopping us from living fully'

Aussie pop-punkers 5 Seconds Of Summer are currently on their Rock Out With Your Socks Out world tour and drummer Ashton Irwin has revealed that while he's glad technology exists and he's able to keep in touch with his loved ones on the road, he worries our generation relies to heavily on it.

Speaking to his 3.74 million Twitter followers this afternoon (May 12), the heartthrob explained that he's concerned people are using technology too much and might be missing out on their actual lives

"There are some great things to come from technology! I'm worried it's making our lives pass right by us though... Life doesn't seem as intimate!"

Irwin, meanwhile, told his fans yesterday that being part of the band is incredibly fulfilling and he hopes to be involved in the music world forever: "This life has blessed me and my band in a way that I could never of imagined, you guys have turned our world upside down and I'll never be able to fully thank you! This journey has been insane so far! Thank you for hearing our voice through our music and anything we do."

The superstar added: "I love music: I love making music, performing it and witnessing the effect it has on the human spirit. I want to be a part of music forever."
