5 Seconds of Summer drummer Ashton Irwin believes playing live is the best part of being a musician.

The Australians have spent the last number of weeks performing to the world as part of their Rock Out With Your Socks Out headline arena tour.

It seems to have caught up on Irwin, who took to Twitter on Sunday (June 21) to show his gratitude.

The drummer said: "To every single person that has come to this tour. Thank you so much, playing live is the best thing in the world, we love you! #ROWYSO."

Irwin meanwhile had previously spoken out on the site about the values of Father's Day, saying:

"Father's Day today! Male role models have been a big part of my life! If there's a role model in your life let them know THEY RULE!"
