5SOS reveal their new album has an authentic production style

5 Seconds Of Summer will release their new album 'Sounds Good Feels Good' on October 23 and they have revealed that it has some special touches that make it feel really authentic.

Drummer Ashton Irwin told Billboard at the VEVO Certified concert that the production on their new record is very 'old-school' and back to basics, which he loves.

He confessed that fans will be able to pick up ocean sounds and footsteps on the record: "It's proper old-school producer style. At the end of it, you'll hear some ocean. There was a man who came up to us and asked us what we were doing, and you can hear his footsteps in the track, which I think is cool."

The heartthrobs will perform a gig for free on Friday in Central Park for Good Morning America's Summer Concert series. They recently surprised superfans ahead of the show and the adorable footage can be seen here.
