5SOS's Calum Hood praises the fact that music has healing ability

Australian pop-punk band 5 Seconds Of Summer regularly speak out about their passion for music, and one of the members has now revealed that it has a healing quality.

Bassist Calum Hood took to his official Twitter page earlier this morning (August 23) and explained to his followers that the one thing that he can rely on to make him happy in life is music:

"There are no words to describe how wholeheartedly I am in love with music. No matter what mood I am, music affects me in a positive way."

The band, meanwhile, will release their highly anticipated new studio album 'Sounds Good Feels Good' on October 23 and drummer Ashton Irwin told Billboard magazine that he and the other 5SOS lads have addressed some real issues on this record:

"'Sounds Good Feels Good' is not the same as the last album at all. It's very personal to us. The writing is a lot more emotional and explores different subjects that we haven't written about before. It really connects with us emotionally. We talk about childhood, we even touch on parents' divorce and stuff like that as well. We touch on love, heartbreak, loneliness, depression, anxiety -- all types of stuff."
