Calum Hood tells fans he isn't going anywhere: 'I was just overwhelmed'

Bass player Calum Hood, of 5 Seconds Of Summer fame, recently shared a tweet with his followers that was quickly deleted, but appeared to hint at a desire for a quieter life.

The message in question read: "One day I will leave and live a normal life."

During a new chat with 90.9 Sea FM, Hood reassured concerned fans that the tweet was nothing to worry about and he was just feeling a little overwhelmed by everything: "One day I wanna kind of take a little break. No I don't think so, but we've been working really hard for four years and sometimes everything gets a little overwhelming."

Ashton Irwin, who talked to press at the AMAs, admitted that their level of fame is hard to process and it probably won't sink in until they're middle-aged

"No. I always say to Luke I don't think we'll be able to process what's happening to our band until we're like 40. We just work hard. We work as hard as we can, we don't sleep in too much, and we just get stuff done. We try to see as many people as we can, we try and write great music, and we try and make our performances as good as they can be. Those are the main things this band focuses on."
