5 Seconds of Summer star Ashton Irwin has given fans a glimpse at his upcoming tour drum kit.

The band are due to hit the road on their Sounds Live Feels Live world tour soon.

The first dates are taking place in Japan in February and preparations are well underway.

Irwin took to Twitter on Monday (January 18) to share with fans a picture of the drum kit he will use on stage.

The Gretsch kit is plastered with a mirror-esque silver colouring.

The Aussie wrote: "Holy sh*t, you'll be seeing this beast on sounds live feels live this year xx."

5 Seconds of Summer are due to return to regions such as North America and Europe on the tour.
