5 Seconds of Summer drummer Ashton Irwin has admitted that he is missing home.

The group are currently in the US as they prepare for the UK leg of their Sounds Live Feels Live tour.

The Australians have been on the road since February and it seems things are getting to Irwin.

He wrote on Twitter on Monday (March 21): "I miss you Australia."

The band's world tour is scheduled to continue through to the autumn.

Much of their summer schedule is taken up by a plethora of dates in North America.

As previously reported, Irwin's bandmate Calum Hood has been spending time in the US working with dance star Steve Aoki in the studio.
