It looks like 5 Seconds of Summer are working with Zedd in the studio.

The dance star posted a short video to Twitter on Monday (March 28) of himself having fun with the band's Michael Clifford.

The guitarist also tweeted: "I WANT THAT DROP SO BAD @Calum5SOS @Zedd."

The news comes just days after 5 Seconds of Summer's Calum Hood worked with fellow dance DJ Steve Aoki.

He was also pictured with Blink-182's Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker.

Speaking on Twitter recently, drummer Ashton Irwin said the group's latest songwriting sessions were looking outside the box.

He said: "We are writing music right now, we are expanding our minds. We are thinking about you guys."

The Australians are working on the follow-up to their second record 'Sounds Good Feels Good', which was released in 2015.
