5 Seconds of Summer drummer Ashton Irwin believes 'Jet Black Heart' is one of the band's most "powerful" songs.

The tune was released as a single one year ago on Sunday (August 28).

This prompted fans - as well as the band - to reflect on the tune, which peaked at No.34 in their native Australia.

Irwin said he thinks the single is one of the most affecting pieces of work the quartet have created.

He said: "1 year of Jet Black Heart, one of the most powerful songs we have!

"I love playing it to you every single night."

Irwin meanwhile recently said he cut his hair short for the first time since he was about eight years old.
