The exhibit will pay tribute to some of the most iconic moments throughout the show’s journey while leaving fans energized for what is to come. “Grey’s Anatomy” returns with a two-hour premiere on Thursday, Sept. 27 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand. Open to the public for three days, the exhibit will feature fine art and engaging installations to not only celebrate past moments in the show but to also create a global opportunity to discuss the pillars of the show that are so iconic. THNK1994 will ensure a showcase for emerging, influential and underrepresented artists and collaborators. THNK1994 is the creative force behind pop-up exhibits like “The Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan 1994 Museum,” “The Olsen Twins Hiding From the Paparazzi,” “Housewives Pointing Fingers” and, most recently, “David’s Dead: A Celebration of Tiffany Pollard.” Curators and co-founders of THNK1994, Viviana Rosales Olen and Matt Harkins, have commissioned art from some of the most iconic scenes and fan-favorite moments from “Grey’s Anatomy” to be recreated by featured artists including the following: Chicago-based Laura Collins is known for her series “The Olsen Twins Hiding From the Paparazzi,” “Housewives Pointing Fingers” and the upcoming, “Anna Wintour Double-Crossing Her Legs.” Her impressionistic work covers some of the most scandalous moments in reality TV and pop-culture history. Derek Covington Smith is a Southern Mississippi artist with a twist. Influenced by ‘90s television, and the pre-‘49 culture he was raised around, his artwork reflects a reverence for pop culture and nostalgia. Miriam Carothers is a Pratt-educated, Brooklyn-based illustrator and designer. Her work has been shown in galleries around the world as well as in three shows at THNK1994. Her work has appeared on Broad City and countless publications in need of an illustrator to interpret the most outrageous moments in pop culture. WHERE: 631 N.
