“DESCENDANTS 3”

Featuring a multitalented cast, inspiring songs and thrilling choreography, “Descendants 3,” the latest installment in the hit Disney Channel Original Movie franchise, premieres Friday, Aug. 2, 2019, in the U.S. The premiere telecasts of “Descendants” and “Descendants 2” were each the most watched cable movie telecasts of the year (2015 and 2017, respectively) among Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 and captured the attention of hundreds of millions of young viewers around the world. “Descendants” music videos have over 2.5 billion views on DisneyMusicVEVO and both movie soundtracks were #1 on the iTunes and Billboard soundtrack charts.

The third installment is the most ambitious yet, resuming the tale of the Villain Kids (also known as VKs). Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay, the teenage sons and daughters of Disney’s most infamous villains, have come into their own yet still grapple with whether they’ll forever be defined by the actions of their parents (Maleficent, Evil Queen, Cruella de Vil and Jafar).

The story begins on “VK Day” in idyllic Auradon where the VKs are celebrating their graduation from Auradon Prep. It continues as Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay cross the barrier to the Isle of the Lost to encourage all Isle boys and girls to pursue new opportunities for success in Auradon. But when a dark force threatens the land now ruled by her beloved King Ben, Mal fears it’s the wrath of Uma or Hades. So, she makes the decision to close down the barrier to the Isle forever, testing her beliefs and the bonds of her friendships. Meanwhile, Audrey is wallowing in resentment over not achieving the fairytale life she wanted in Auradon.

The movie introduces many new characters including Celia and her father Dr. Facilier, Hades, and Squeaky and Squirmy (sons of Smee) and again features Audrey (daughter of Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillip), Uma (daughter of Ursula), King Ben and his parents Belle and Beast, Chad (son of Prince Charming and Cinderella), Doug (son of Dopey), Jane (daughter of Fairy Godmother), Harry (son of Captain Hook), Gil (son of Gaston), Dizzy (daughter of Drizella), Queen Leah (mother of Sleeping Beauty), Fairy Godmother and Dude the Dog.

Starring is Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, Sofia Carson, Booboo Stewart, Mitchell Hope, Sarah Jeffery, Brenna D’Amico, Melanie Paxon, Thomas Doherty, Dylan Playfair, Zachary Gibson, Jedidiah Goodacre, Anna Cathcart, Jadah Marie, Dan Payne, Keegan Connor Tracy, Bobby Moynihan, Cheyenne Jackson and China Anne McClain.
