“This Week with George Stephanopoulos” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the 2nd consecutive week on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “This Week” took the top spot in the key Adult news demo for the 3rd consecutive week and for the 5th time in the last 6 weeks.

“This Week” improved on the previous week in Total Viewers (+5% – 2.661 million vs. 2.545 million) and Adults 25-54 (+15% – 575,000 vs. 500,000), drawing its largest news demo audience in nearly 4 months — since 5/8/22.

Season to date, “This Week” is ranking No. 1 in Adults 25-54, leading CBS’ “Face the Nation” and NBC’s “Meet the Press” at this point of the season for the first time in 7 years — since the 2014-2015 season. In addition, “This Week” is beating CBS’ “Face the Nation” by its largest Adults 25-54 lead in 22 years — since 1999-2000 season.

“This Week” is leading NBC’s “Meet the Press” in Total Viewers season to date for the first time in 8 years, with its largest lead in 25 years — since the 2013-2014 and the 1996-1997 seasons, respectively. In addition, “This Week” is cutting its Total Viewers season margin with “Face the Nation” by 20% (264,000 vs. 332,000) to its smallest gap in 12 years — since the 2009-2010 season.

NOTE: CBS’ “Face the Nation” was retitled to “Face-Nation.” The retitled telecasts are excluded from the season averages.
