LONDON, Nov. 10, 2020 — AIM Sync will feature prominent international music supervisors in  film, gaming, TV, advertising, brands, and more. These expert speakers will share insights on the current sync and brands landscape as well as taking part in masterclasses, listening sessions, workshops and networking sessions.

SPEAKERS AND SESSIONS

Confirmed speakers and networkers join the conference from companies including: BT Sport, Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe, Mute Song, Ninja Tune, Domino Recording and Publishing Co, 2WEI, Elephant Music, Musicians' Union and Air-Edel amongst many more.

Click here for the full schedule confirmed so far.

Panel discussions and presentations will cover topics including sync opportunities on emerging tech platforms, engaging with the US sync market, new opportunities for music in gaming and VR, and using music classifications ethically. High-level masterclasses from experts will also be presented on sync deal negotiation and clearances.

Listening sessions will give attendees a chance to get direct feedback on their music and how it is suited for sync opportunities direct from the decision-making music supervisors themselves. Ticketholders wishing to take part can submit their tracks to the experts from today here.

SYNC AWARDS

Following their successful introduction last year, two informal sync awards will be presented at the end of the event to shine a spotlight on the use of independent music in the sync and brand landscape, ‘Independent Sync of the Year’ and ‘Music Supervisor of the Year’. Submissions are open now, free for all ticketholders here.

Finally, all AIM Sync ticketholders will be given a free copy of AIM’s regularly updated Sync Guide, an industry sync bible which provides readers with essential insider knowledge on making the most of modern sync licensing opportunities.

TICKETS

Subsidised tickets are completely free for full AIM Members (Rightsholders and Distributors) as well as Friends of AIM. Following the launch of AIM’s new Associate Membership tier for clients of its Distributor Members in January 2021, tickets will be available to Associate Members at a 50% discount on the non-member price. Non-members can purchase tickets for £50. Sign up now! All tickets can be purchased here.

AIM Sync 2021 once again joins forces with The Guild of Music Supervisors and Ivors Academy, helping to expand the conference’s network of expert speakers and placing it at the heart of the music supervision world. AIM would also like to thank its Annual Platinum Partners, Merlin and PPL, whose continued support makes these events possible.

For those looking to learn the basics of securing a sync deal and how sync deals are structured, AIM Academy is running a ‘primer’ masterclass: ‘How to Get Started in Sync’, on 4 February 2021 for its Members and partners ahead of the conference. Registration is available here.

PLEASE NOTE: AIM Members should enter the email address they use to login to the AIM website as an ‘access code’ on Eventbrite to access subsidised tickets for both AIM Sync and How to Get Started in Sync.
