Maroon 5's Adam Levine: 'I have a high self-opinion'

Maroon 5's sexy frontman Adam Levine has admitted that his high self-esteem has enabled him to enjoy his success because he feels that he deserves all that he's accomplished.

Speaking to USA Today, the 'Payphone' heartthrob explained that he's worked incredibly hard over the years and his strong business ethic coupled with his passion for what he does allows him to appreciate the benefits:

"I have a high self-opinion - I don't need to hide that. I don't need to be self-deprecating. I do believe that I deserve what I have. I don't think I'm entitled to it. That's a big difference."

Referring to how he is as a person, Levine added that his mother gave him some advice during his rise to fame that alluded to the fact that he's a very grounded guy:

"It's ridiculous. It's too much. Can you just be a millionaire? My mom told me a long time ago - she didn't know she was giving me this advice - but she said, 'All I know is, you'll never change, so you'd better get somebody to take care of your room and get a housekeeper.'"

"That was burned into my skull. 'Must make money so I don't have to do my chores', because I wouldn't do them anyway."
