Adam Levine reveals superhero style inspiration

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has admitted that he takes elements of his personal style from an iconic superhero.

Speaking to People magazine in America, the 'Payphone' superstar confessed that his fashion sense is definitely inspired by Batman and, in particular, the latest incarnation of the character:

"This is going to sound silly, but my style icon is Batman... Especially the Christian Bale Batman. He's very suave."

Last month it was revealed that Levine had partnered with U.S. supermarket giant KMart to produce a line of men's clothing and he explained that it was rewarding to see his designs come to life:

"It's great to see all the tiny things we worked on, all the little details, up close and finished. Honestly, I think fashion has a lot to do with when you wake up that day; a reflection of where you are, who you are and what you're going to do. I'm not making a pretentious fashion statement, but you have to put something on, and I'm not wearing a fig leaf."
