As one-third of the hitmaking production team, Daseca, Serani has defined the sound of dancehall music over the years. Now, just ahead of releasing his debut album this spring, the Jamaican musical mogul is looking beyond his home market and infusing his sound with a broader, global appeal. You’ll hear it especially in this latest release, a moody, sultry, atmospheric gem created in collaboration with Dominican singer, songwriter and global chart-topper Jenn Morel, who first became a household name with her 2017 hit, “Ponteme.”

Titled “She Cry,” this just-launched single by Serani and Morel blends the best of both worlds; Serani’s iconic voice shines through over sensual, undulating rhythms, weaving around Morel’s own vocals to create a gorgeous final product. The single comes accompanied by a music video that celebrates Morell’s first artistic passion: dance. Shot in Jamaica, it captures the hypnotizing and electrifying movements of three women in different settings.
