Alexandra Burke reveals heartache over relative who died in her arms

Alexandra Burke has revealed why she decided to lend her hand to Breast Cancer Care and agreed to become an ambassador for the charityable organisation.

The 23-year-old 'Broken Heels' singer explained to the Evening Standard that when she was younger her aunt, who suffered from breast cancer, died in her arms from the disease so she wants to "give back" while she can:

"My auntie Jean had breast cancer. She died in my arms in hospital. We were there for her very last moments. I really do this because of her. It was a life-changing moment for my family. I just want to do my part to give back. "

To raise money for the cause, Burke will also perform at the special Girls' Night Out concert on January 12 alongside Little Mix, Chipmunk and Dionne Bromfield.
