Alexandra Burke has all but confirmed that she will be unleashing a new album in 2013.

The vocal star released her second record 'Heartbreak on Hold' in June but it seems she is already looking ahead to her next album.

In a series of Twitter messages posted yesterday (October 8), Burke said that she is looking forward to welcoming in a "new era" in 2013.

Burke also took time to praise her fans, calling them the "reason why she lives". The former X Factor winner said:

"Today has been a great day. Received some amazing news, its that time to keep on going, working hard and remain focused. Bring on the new year. The new era...And the New Album. My beasties. Thank you for your support and patience. I appreciate it."

She added: "My fans mean more to me then words can even express. U guys are the reason I live. Music will always be my 1st love. Ima make ya'll proud."
